To ensure safety and respect, students are asked to follow the expectations below. These remain posted and are taught at the beginning of the school year. Students are encouraged to meet these expectations by earning or losing points on our ClassDojo website. Points reinforce these expectations and align with our Blaine core values.

Art can be VERY messy! Though I try to use washable materials whenever possible, I still recommend that students bring a paint shirt or apron when they come to art class. Unfortunately we cannot store these shirts in the art room. It would be best if they were kept in a backpack or cubby.

= 1 Sticker of your choice
= Free draw for the last ten minutes
= Free read for the last ten minutes
= Draw on the whiteboard the last ten minutes
= Sharpen 20 pencils for the class
= Share your artwork with the entire class
20 Points
= 10 min at the end of class with play dough
= Move next to a friend after bell work
= Origami crane to keep
= Teacher helper for the entire class period

30 Points
= 1 Coloring sheet of your choice
= Receive 1 piece of sidewalk chalk to keep
= Free paint (no splatter paint) for 15 minutes at the end of class
= Switch seats with another student
= Chew gum in class
= Wear a hat in art class for the class period
= Positive call to your parents
40 Points
= Sit in teacher’s rolling chair for the entire class period
= Assist another teacher for the last 15 minutes of art class
= Splatter paint for 15 minutes
= Ipad art games for 15 minutes
= 1 piece of candy
50 Points
= Listen to music on headphones for 1 class period
(tape must be placed over phone camera)
= Get one letter grade higher on your lowest graded assignment
= Potter’s wheel lesson after school with Ms. Welling for 45 minutes.
